This is going to be great. I'm going to have a lot of my most recent work displayed. Here's what it's all about:
When we think of the future we tend to think of dramatic change, and frequently envision a vastly different world. Our visions of the future don’t always take into account the manner in which the present shapes the future or account for the fact that change is constant and not always earthshaking. This show will explore the human element of change: how change happens, how we react to it, and how our human nature remains constant throughout a lifetime of unexpected, unplanned, and sometimes unwanted innovation that is either happening or is bound to happen. You are invited to take a look into a future that embraces the humor, frailties, and creative energy of us all.
Okay, a little too much blah blah blah, but I'll summarize - the future happens bit by bit, small changes, chances taken, experiments tried, risks rewarded (or not punished) and all the sudden, what hasn't been done before is suddenly the norm! And since we're human, sometimes it's kinda funny, not always what we expected or even wanted. But it's nothing to be afraid of! We're all trying to make things better for ourselves in a world that gets more and more complicated, polluted, congested, less dignified, more insensitive, and not at all what Disney thought it would be in "Tomorowland". And somehow there's still a place for our innocence and curiosity.
So, check out the show. Laugh, cry, eat the food. Drink the wine. See something you haven't seen before.
